Second iteration of the new manage training dashboard
This work showcases the second iteration of the new dashboard design, focusing on UI and content changes based on recent user research. The changes include improvements to the “Manage training” and “Manage ECTs and mentors” pages, CSS improvements, and changes to improve scannability and routing. The team plans to continue making improvements in future iterations, including redesigning the participant profile page.

New manage training dashboard and review app
This work fulfills the requirement for a “cohortless” dashboard to aid schools and teachers in accessing ECF training and information. The new design emphasises accessibility, usability, and communication, adhering to principles such as simplicity, highlighting key actions, and providing clear content.

Re-nomination journey
The ECF team simplified the renominating an induction tutor process and enhanced the user interface and guidance for an improved user experience.

Refactoring our data model to facilitate changes in circumstances
When we launched the Manage training for early career teachers service in Autumn 2021, we focused on ensuring schools could choose how they want to deliver ECF-based training and register their early career teachers (ECTs) and mentors. Any changes in circumstances that result in changes to ECF-based training were deprioritised until post-launch.

Facilitating participants moving schools during their induction
Based on census data, it is estimated that around 10% of early career teachers (ECTs) will move schools mid-way through their induction. As a result, they may need to change their training route and, in many circumstances, their DfE-funded training provider.
